This name is synonymous to the name

shiva-shaktyaika-rupiNii. Both of these occur in the

sahasranaama. kula denotes shakti and akula denotes Lord

shiva. kaula is the supreme essence which links kula and

akula. Hence, it is same as shivashkatyaikarupiNii.

 

This name has other interpretations as well. For instance, the

term kula means sahasraara and SHE is resides there and hence SHE

is kaulinii.
