Guest guest
This name is present in sahasranaama as well. shrii means auspicious or supreme (it has many other meanings as well) and vidyaa means knowledge. SHE is that supreme knowledge. Traditionally this name denotes pancha-dashaaxarii (15 syllabled mantra) and SHE is represented by it. The importance of this mantra is brought out in lalitaa trishatii by celebrating each of the syllables with 20 names (15 X 20 = 300). It is said that chanting panchadashaaxarii once is equal to saying gaayatri mantra thrice. Each of the the three groups is equivalent to one gaayatrii. AUM shriividyaayai namaH Your comments and corrections are welcome.
