I am planning to refer to them as 1,2,3 in the same order. The verse I quote above is from the third one. The miinaaxii temple in madurai is a like a city by itself. It is huge and wide. It has pillars made of gold, tall towers, lot of parrots in cages, the golden lotus pond and so on. Seeing this temple, even a naastikaa will be filled with wonder and become an astika. shrii miinaaxii devi who resides in this temple (with all its splendours) may grant us the wealth [of atma jnaanam]. What struck harmony with me was a personal incident. I will be brief here. From my 8th standard (1980) till I completed M.S. at IITM in 1991, I was wasting away my life as an agnostic. By chance, I got Madurai as my center for TOEFL exam and went there in Aug 1991. It was not planned. And Madurai was my last choice. As a casual vistor I went to the temple just look at its beauty. The wonder happened in the sanctum sanctorum and magically SHE took me into HER hold. It was very wonderful. I cannot disclose other details. But now I know I am HER son. One funny coincidence is, mother of this body (this birth) is also named miinaaxii. Glory to shrii miinaaxii. There is no pleasure greater in this world than worshipping ambaaL. As niilakaNtha diixita says if moxam is going to rob away the pleaseure of worshipping miinaaxii, I do not want that terror called moxa. (verse naahaM sahe ...) Guest guest
'Nandri' for your message! I cannot agree with you more about the splendors of Holy Mother and Her Shrine in Madurai... It has almost been 2 years now since She granted me Darshan 3 times there including once 'by accident' when the Chief Priest was doing special Arati. Words are incapable to describe the feeling in my heart that She uses to make Her abode in me! Mike Wisniewski "Chandramooleshwara" - "Ravisankar S.
