81. atmaika sumukhii bhuuta jagadaahlaada kaariNii

jagat aahlaada kaariiNi means SHE who causes/bestows joy to the

universe. The term "atmaika sumukhii bhuuta" means being

established/delighting in aatman alone. That is SHE confers joy

to all, while established in HER natural state of

sat-chit-aananda. jnaaninaH who are one with HER demonstrate this

in this world. Being established in brahman, without swerving a

micron from it, they confer joy to the devotees who are scorched

by the heat of saMsara.

That word 'aahlaada'. It reminds me of a beautiful naama

in Sri Lalitha Sahasranaama. The Moon that causes the Eye-Lotuses

of Maha kamEsa, to bloom.

 

Maha KamEsa nayana kumuda aahlaada kaumudi.
