shrii miinaaxii stuti

shrii jagatguru shR^i~Ngagiri chandrasekhara bhaarati swamigaL

 

adraaxam bahubhaagyato guruvaraiH saMpuujyamaanaaM mudaa

pullanmallimukhaprasuunanivahairhaalaasyanaathapriyaam.h |

viiNaveNumR^ida~NgavaadyamuditaameNaa~Nga bimbaananaaM

kaaNaadaadisamastashaastramatitaam shoNaadharaaM shyaamaLaam.h || 1 ||

 

In a split form:

 

adraaxam bahu bhaagyato guruvaraiH saMpuujyamaanaaM mudaa

pullan.h malli mukha prasuuna nivahair haalaasya naatha priyaam.h |

viiNa veNu mR^ida~Nga vaadyaM uditaaM eNaa~Nga bimbaananaaM

kaaNaadaadi samasta shaastra matitaam shoNaadharaaM shyaamaLaam.h || 1 ||

 

I saw shyaamaLa (miinaaxii) due to my good fortune who is worshipped

by the achaarya-s with joy using jasmine flowers, who is beloved of

Lord of haalasyapuri (sundareshvara), who rejoices listening to the

beautiful music of viiNa, flute and mR^ida~Nga, whose face is

beautiful like a moon, who bestows the knowledge of shastra-s composed

by sages like kaaNada, and whose lips are red in color.

This should read kaNaada. It is the same kaNaada who propounded

vaisheshika philosopy. Since the word used is kaaNaadaadi, the

shastraa-s indicated include all the 6 astika darshana-s. Additional
