Namaste, The town of Tuljapur is situated @25 miles N-E of Solapur. Solapur is @ 300 miles S-E of Mumbai. It borders on the provinces of Andhra & Karnataka. There is train service from Mumbai to Solapur, and from there one can take a taxi-cab to Tulajapur. There are many other major pilgrimage places near Solapur, incl. Pandharpur [Vithoba], and Akkalakot. There is a long history and mythology associated with Tuljapur Bhavani. In recent history, she has been famous as the Goddess who inspired Shivaji in his defence against the Mogul conquest [1650 AD +]. Regards, s.
