Please see http://sdlcfsn.cs.iitm.ernet.in/tidbits.html There are people in IITM (since you are in Madras) to help you. Probably if you go to Giri Trading Company in Mylapore, they may have a small book to learn grantha. They are now on the WWW too. Please visit their website: www.giritrading.com or email to them at giritrading Other option is to go Kanchi maTha, because it was paramaacharya's dream that all tamils learn grantha script and use it to write sanskrit (instead of incorrectly writing it in Tamil). Definitely there must be some one to help you. --- I know some basics of grantha, but I am too busy to help you. Please try to get a book. I am sure in Madras you will get one. If you cannot, then let me know, I have few pages teaching grantha script, I will mail it to you. Thanks. Sincerely, Ravi
Guest guest
Dear Ravi, Thanks. Kanchi Math is not what you assume. I had been to the Sanskrit College run by the Math here and they want huge amount to translate the script to sanskrit or tamil. Some people (Sastrigal) who knows grantha also want considerable amount in thousands to translate these. I would have loved to learn grantha and translate them, but here again want of time is standing on the way. That is why I sent an appeal to see whether some one could translate the same free of cost, as that would be useful to them and to the devi upasakas. Regards.
