Dikshitar Ragam : Kalavathi, Talam : Adi Pallavi : Kalavathi Kamalasana Yuvathi Kalyanam Kalayathu Saraswathi. Anupallavi : Balaabala Mantrarna Roopini, Bharathi Mathrukaasaririni, Malali Vidarini Vaagvaani, Madhukaraveni, Veenapani. Charanam : Sarad Jyotsna Shubraakaara, Sasivadanaa Kaashmira Vihaara, Varaa Saradha, Parankushadharaa, Varadaabhaya Paasha Pusthakakara, Surarchita Padaambujaa, Shobhanaa, Swethapankajasana, Suradanaa, Purari Guruguha Hridaya Ranjani, Murari Snusha, Niranjani. Meaning : May Sarasvati, the wife of Brahma and the repository of all the arts, bless us with prosperity and peace. She is the embodiment of the hymns Bala and Abala. She is also known by the name of Bhaarathi. She is the very form of all the letters in the alphabet. She removes all evil and is speech personified. Her tresses are jet black like a group of black bees and she holds a Veena in her hand. She is white like the moon in springtime, her face is like the moon. She resides in Kashmir, where she is known as Sarada. She carries is her hands, the Pasha (rope), Ankusha (elephant goad) and a book. Two of her hands are in the pose of Abhaya and Vara (giving the boons of fearlessness and well being). Her lotus like feet are worshipped by all the Gods. She is effulgent, sits on a white lotus and has beautiful teeth. She causes joy in the hearts of Siva and Guruguha. She is the daughter-in-law of Vishnu and she symbolises true bliss.
