saa rasanaa te nayane taaveva karau sa eva kR^itakR^ityaH |

yaa ye yau yo bhargaM vadatiikshete sadaarchataH smarati || 94||

 

yaa bhargaM vadati saa rasanaa

ye iixete te nayane

yau sadaarchitaH tau eva karau

yaH sadaa smarati saH eva kRitakRityaH

 

 

bhargam means effulgent one and often denotes Lord shiva. That is

why gAyatrI is interpreted by many as a prayer to shiva as we

meditate on bhargaH devasya dhImahI. Here we will translate it as

shivA (ambaaL).

 

That which speaks of glories of ambaaL is indeed the tongue (that

does not is not a tongue). That rejoices in looking at the form

of ambaaL are indeed the eyes (and that does not are not). Those

are called hands that engage themselves in worshipping ambaaL and

the one who always remembers ambaaL is the one who has attained

the goal of life.

 

This verse of shivAnandalaharI urges us that the true purposes of

senses is to flow towards God.
