O mind, when you have had the good fortune (paakkiyam) of contemplating on the glories of the beautiful feet of our Mother, who is established in the sahasrAra (*) and whom the multitude (pala kOTi) of Gods and devas constantly (nitham) worship, can there be any reason to look to other things to grant liberation (naRgati thara) ? _____________ (*) Thanks to Ravi for the meaning of this. I am posting the following (edited) extract from his email to me : "thuvaathachaantha is tamilized for dvAdashAnta, which means beyond the 12 and that is sahasrAra. The 12 that are mentioned are: 6 chakras (mUlAdhAra, svAdiShTAna, maNipuraka, anAhata, vishuddhi, and A~jnA), 3 granthi-s (brahma, viShNu, and rudra) and three maNDala-s (agni, sUrya, and soma). Beyond this is sahasrAra. This means SHE is established in the sahasrAra. Traditionally, madurai, because of this, is called dvAashAntapuri. granthi means knot. There are three knots. Refer to LS 100. brahma granthi vibhedinI She who breaks through the knot of brahmA 102. vishhNu granthi vibhedinI She who breaks through the knot of vishhNu 104. rudra granthi vibhedinI She who breaks through the knot of shiva Similarly the three maNdala-s occurs in the zone of 6 chakra-s. sUrya maNDala is anAhata region. agnI maNDala in svAdiShTAna, and soma maNDala is in A~jnA. Different texts gives various positions. Also, there is some difference of opinion regarding the exact meaning of dvAdashAnta. Some say dvAdashanta is above the sahasrAra, as soma maNDala is at sahasrAra. The book that I have on saundaryalahari says it is same as sahasrAra."
