Guest guest Posted December 29, 2000 Report Share Posted December 29, 2000 This is the final verse of this stotra. tvadruupadeshikavaraiH satataM vibhaavyaM chidruupamaadi nidhanaantara hiinamamba | bhadraavahaM praNamataaM sakalaagha hantR^i tvadruupameva mama hR^itkamale vibhaatu || 8|| In a split form: tvat.h ruupa deshikavaraiH satataM vibhaavyaM chit.h ruupaM aadi nidhana antara hiinaM amba | bhadraaH ahaM praNamataaM sakalaagha hantR^i tvat.h ruupaM eva mama hR^it.h kamale vibhaatu || 8|| O Mother, the one who is always meditated upon by AchArya-s (guru-s) who are thy form as their own self, who is the form of pure consciousness, who is not afflicted by defects like beginning, middle and end, and who bestows all good things to those who worship and destroys their sins; may thy form shine in the lotus of my heart (and may I meditate on it). -ambaaL is called gurumUrtiH, gurumaNDala rUpiNii, daxiNamUrtirUpiNii in sahasranAma, kaLidAsa also adores HER as deshikarUpeNa darshitaabhyudayaam. ambaaL comes in the form of one's guru. And achaaryA-s always meditate on ambaaL as their own Self. To see a difference between guru and God arises out ignorance (says sai sat charita). By the term tvat rUpa deshikavaraiH, we are taught to adore our guru-s as we do to God. God is not visible (to ordinary) and difficult to meditate upon, but guru is visible and easy to meditate upon. Here the poet says that it is you who has come as my AchArya. --- This stotra is by shrii shrii shR^ingagiri shrI shArada pIThadhipati shrI jagadguru shrI chandrasekhara bhArati svAmigaL.
