Is there a english or Tamil translation available? Are there any publishesr who have brought out any books on Lalitha Sahasranam's meaning and the pupport for the same? I'm also looking at similar explanatory books on Devi Bagavatham in English or Tamil. If they are available, where can i procure them in Chennai? Are there any publishesr who have brought out any books on Lalitha Sahasranam's meaning and the pupport for the same? In English, there is a book published by Sankara Educational Trust, Madras. The translation is by S.Y.Krishnaswamy I.C.S. Published in 1971. Another one by R.AnanthaKrishna Sastry, published by the Theosophical Publishing House. The popular one is that published by Ramakrishna Mutt - by 'ANNa' Subramanya Sastry. There is still one more by Sri Ramakrishna TapOvanam; by Swamy Vimalaanandha. I'll come back with the Tamil versions. Regards JayBee > >I'm also looking at similar explanatory books on Devi Bagavatham in English or Tamil. Namaste!! from my understanding there is another excellent English version of the Sri Lalithasahasranama published by the Sri Ramakrsna Math....and i think they use the commentary by Bhaskarayar...they have it in Sanskrit, transliterated romanised sanskrit and english...plus the meanings if i remember rightly (haven't looked at it for a while). all very affordable paper back book format... then as i said to another list member, there is an excellent translation and commentary put out by the Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi Math in Amritapuri, Kerala....at www.amritapuri.org the commentator is not Bhaskarayar, but rather T.V. Narayana Menon, from Kerala....quite exhaustive commentaries and meanings.... i hope that this has been of some use.... In the Divine Mother's Love, and in Her Service, this little child most humbly salutes you! as ever, your own self!! visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!!
