Guest guest
Dear Ambal Bakthas, What Shri Rajan is chanting is not a sloka but a mula manthram of Buvaneswari. "Om Shrim Hrim Shrim Buvaneswaryai Namaha" is a correct version and has the correct combination of Bhijams. Such mantras are given in various sacred texts. Some of such texts are Prapanchasara Thantram Prapanchasara Sangraham Dakshinamurthy Uttarakosam Dakshinamurthy Samhithai Sarathathilakam etc Shri Ragavabhattar designed the above said mantram in his explanatory notes to Saratha-thilakam. The word Namaha indicates that I do namaskaram to mother Buvaneswari. It has been preceded by various bhijakshams selected by the author. (Shri Padmapadachariyar also has designed 2 similar mula mantras. I do japa of one of those mantras. I got upadesam for this from Shri Santhananda Swamiji my guru at Pudukkotai, which was our hometown then) The Bijhaaksharams preceding the mantra are:- Om Pranavam grants moksham Shrim Lakshmi Bijam grants santhanam and wealth Of course Hrim is Buvaneswari bijam which is Sakthi bijam and stands for Buvaneswari in manthra roopam. It is stated that this has been taken from Vedas in particular from Tamagnirvarnam mantra in Durga Suktham. Similarly other mula mantras with Khlim - Kamaraja Bijam are also in use. I was told that one should chant the mula mantras after getting upadesha. Obviously Shri Rajan has been taught this or heard from some body and is repeating this. After all Buvaneswari is full of compassion and will not mind whether one gets formal initiation or casual initiation. As Ramanamaharishi used to say Self is the Guru. >From that angle I consider Shri Rajan to be blessed by Buvaneswari for he is chanting her mula mantram without knowing it to be. I thik this is what was meant by great Papanasma Sivan when he sang " Enna thavam saidaniyo". The Sadasiva Brimendral who has attained samadi in Pudukkotai, to my knowledge, is different from the original Sadasiva Brimendral of Nerur. This swamiji is the Paramaguru of my guru Santhananda swamiji and is very lovingly called as Judge swamigal and his desiple is Swampraksa Swamiji of Senthamangalam. Both of them are avaduthas. Those of the bakthas who wish to learn more about Santhanada Swamiji can log into site http://skandhashramam.faithweb.com/. Also further details about these mantras are given in Buvaneswari Thahvaprakasam a book published by Athistanam at Pudukkottai. Let devine mother Buvaneswari guide us.
