Guest guest
V.15 Oh Mother! The most Sacred, who transshaped the darkness of Amavasya to the splendour of full moon You've blessed us with your Feet to pray to! You reside hidden in our hearts! Sister of Lord Vishnu! You are centred in (Sri Chakra that is composed of) Nine triangles filled with Mantras... Notes: While in trance, Subrahmanyan (later, Abirami Bhattar) of Thirukadaiyur, declared to doubtful and insensitive king that there would be a full moon that evening, while actually it happened to be a new moon day. Back to the mundane world, he started composing Abriami anthati on Mother Abirami, calling Her to save him from the royal wrath. In parallel with 'miraculous' twists to the story, it is said that the king had a vision of the Mother in his dream, throwing her Thadangam that glowed like the full moon. King woke up to the true saint in Abhirami Bhattar and honored him with due respects. This poem refers to this incident.
