Namaskaram,

I have a doubt.. in one of Sri Periyaval's talks i remember Him saying that

in the south Kanchi was the 'Mokshapuri'.. that is death there gives moksha?

However i wonder if Madurai is the Sahasrara kshetra, shouldnt that be (

also) a mokshapuri?

because moksha is when the kundalini reaches the sahasrara isnt it?

also there are only three shakti peethams in south of the principal 51

mentioned . i am not sure if this is correct(the number three).

is tiruvaroor(tanjore dist.) one of the shakti peethams(of the 51 )

also where in yoga meenaakshi stavam it is mentioned that madurai is

sahasraaram. i dont know sanskrit so please explain

somebody please explain me this.

The key word dvadashanta. madhurai is known as a dvadashAntapuri

(traditionally). In the context of aN^gayaRkaNNi antAdi I wrote few lines

about the is word.

/message/1204

Besides addressing HER as sahasrAra padme etc., agastya uses this word twice in

the text.

shaDante navaante lasat.h dvaadashaante v 10

lasat.h dvaadashaantendu piiyushadhaara v 14

This is text is quite complex with many hidden yogic secrets. I hope some

Acharya with an inutitive perception of Truth will write a

commentary on this.
