Guest guest
my apologies for the bad way of typing the document. i saw that nothing could be made out of second part. hope the following explanation helps. 2)Here vidyaaraNya muni gives names of 14 disciples of shankaracaarya and their successors. The names of 14 disciples are given below. shankara, padmapada, bodha, giirvaaNa,aananda tiirtha sundara,viShNu sharma, laxmaNa,mallikarjuna ,trivikrama shriidhara, kapardhi, keshava, damodhara. following are names of sanyaasi ( monks) shiShya s and their disciples 1)shankara 2)padmapaada ‘s disciples manDala paripaavaka nirvaaNa girdhana cidaananda shivottama 3)bodha’s disciples --disciples in kerala 4)giirvaaNa’s disciples vidvadgiirvaaNa vibudhendra sudhiindra mantragiirvaaNa 5)aananda tiirtha following are the names of gR^ihasta shiShyas and their disciples. 6) sundara 7) viShNu sharma’s disciples pragalbhaacaarya vidyaaraNya 8) laxmaNa 9) mallikaarjuNa’s disciples -- disciples in vindhya range 10) trivikrama – disciples in puri 11)shriidhara ‘s disciples – disciples in gauDa ,mithila&bengal 12) kapardhi ‘s disciples – disciples in benares and ayodhya 13)keshava 14)damodhara. when only the names of shankaracaarya's shiShyas are given does it mean that they did not give diikSha to anyone or does it mean their disciples names are not known ? i think disciples means those disciples who took shriividya diikSha from shri shankaracaarya --my assumption regards Get 250 color business cards for FREE! http://businesscards.lycos.com/vp/fastpath/
