Guest guest
Namasthe there was a question why we should worship the five deities spoecially in the PANCHAYATHANA PUJA it is not only traditional but also there is a reason for it as I could feel in the process of doing the puja. 1.Ganapathy: To overcome all obstacles either in worshipping these deities or for progressing in any work without vigna (muladhara-basic energy)thus invoking his blessings is essential. 2.Aditya: To keep our body in good health and free from all diseases and thus indirectly helping the mind in pure condition in all our daily activities. 3.Vishnu: The blessings of the God of Protection is absolutely essential; protecting our life force is as important as our body functioning and keeping our enemies away so as to protect our family and children and earnings for our livlihood. 4.Mother Devi: without mother no body can exist. She is the root cause for giving this physical body we cannot live without her.at every walk of our life we cannot forget our gratitude towards her. 5.Siva: No relief from this cycle of birth and death (say Moksha)can be achieved with out Gnana;Maya obstructs this by agnana. He is that Lord to grant this wisdom.therefore his blessings are as essential as Mother?s. One would appreciate how they have chosen the particular stones representing these deities. All possess the five elements but one predominantly present in each, if we analyse their properties,we would be astonished to know their values.if the puja is done sincerely and devotedly,u can observe these and enjoy its brilliance while doing abhisheka. it is very very great indeed. when time comes I would like to post these wonderful properties. krishnamoorthy
