Taking bhaga as sUrya maNDala, this name will celebrate HER as bhAnu maNDala

madhyAsthA. Taking bhaga as triangle, SHE becomes trikoNAmadya nilaya. sUrya

maNDala corresponds to anAhata chakra, SHE resides there as daharAkAsha

ruupiNii. I can see many interpretations of this name (as given in the links

above). Among the various possible meanings contemplate on whatever

resonates with your heart.

The meaning is

(Janata) - O people , (Mytrim Bhajata) - cultivate

friendship (Akthla-hrid-jethrim) - that can win over

everyone's hearts (Atmavadeva paranapi pashyata) -

look upon others as your own self (yuddham tyajata) -

give up war (spardham tyajata) - give up competition

(tyajata pareshu akramam aakramanam) - give up

aggression (on others\' land/property) as that is

unfair

(janani prithivi kamadhug aste) - the mother earth

yields all our desires (janako deva: sakala-dayalu:)

god our father is all merciful (damyata dattha

dayadhvam )- practise self-control, donate, show mercy

shreyo bhooyat sakala jananam - may all be blessed

with shreyas

The phrase "damyata dattha dayadhvam" is from

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

Thanks a million for the meaning of this wonderful

song. In fact, a few days back I heard Shri Neyveli

Santhanam sing this song for 'world peace' and I

immediately wanted to know the meaning so that I could

also sing this as a prayer, particularly in today's

world when there is so much hatred being spread in the

form of terrorism!

May Mother Goddess bless one and all in this Universe!

LOKAY SAMASTHA SUKHINO BHAVANTUH!

OM SHRIM HRIM SHRIM BHUVANESWARYAI NAMAH!
