Guest guest
The exact mantra pronunciation should be learned from a well versed person in that mantra or at least in Sanskrit. language as most mantras are in Sanskrit. There is a treasise "Mantra Shastra" on the mantra sadhana which enumerates different methods for chanting mantras. However, your acharya or Guru can impart most of the information as per how the mantras are to be visualized. Some mantras can be learened from an authentic source of books. Mantras chanted for 100,000 times become alive i.e., one gets the accomplished in that mantra. Of 100,000 mantra, 20,000 mantras should be chanted loudly, 20,000 should be chanted by whispering and 60,000 should be chanted mentalyy (meditation of the mantra). These three stages are called, Vaikhari, Upanshu and Mansik respectivelu Japa sadhana. According to Mantra-Mahodadhi, Laksha-Akshar mantra gives one various siddhis. i.e., for example, Gayatri Manta has 24 syllables and if one chants for 24 x(times) 100,000 = 2400,000, it becomes very potent. In my humble opinion, The sound vibration and visualization should be learnt from an either authentic source or an accomplished teacher. It is not necessary that that person has to be your Guru. That is why we have acharyas to fulfil such obligations to the devotees. At any hindu temple, a learned pandit can explain the pronounciation. Or even some friends who knows the ways to pronunciation. I hope this helps. , "Ravisankar S.
