shrii miinaaxii mahima series in Audio

The series shrii miinaaxii mahima is a set of 5 - 90 minute audio

cassette lecture on the carnatic music kR^iti-s of shrii muttusvaami

diixitar and shrii shyaama shaastri on shrii miinaaxii ambaa. shrii

diixitar's kR^iti-s are in saMskR^itam and shrii shaastri's kR^iti-s

are in telugu. This lecture is devotional in nature and it is in Tamil

language. Author of this series wishes to remain anonymous and has pen

name "naadopasaka". He is a great scholar and a even greater bhakta.

This work was recorded on October 1989. He has given me the rights to

distribute the series (freely) to all bhakta-s.

This is a streaming audio for 450+ minutes. I have plans to distribute

this music as MP3 files on a CD soon. I will post an information about

it soon. If you know of a site that lets people distribute this kind of

info and has 250 MB space let me know. This link will expire in 2

weeks from now. But I will post the same under a new mix though :-))

 

I have the complete text of the lecture for the diixitar kR^iti-s in

Tamil which I plan to translate in the years to come and I have the

text only for the "devii miinanetrii brova raave" kR^iti of shrii

shyaama shaastri. Since I have text of all kritis from some other

source, I am planning to expand the contents of the tape and translate

it also (in years to come, I am very very slow, he gave me these

cassettes three years back!!!).

 

I have set as 10 MP3 files (each holding one side of a 90 minute

cassette, with 20 MB/file) and as 60 files (the same set broken into

smaller pieces for easier distribution across WWW). This was done using

MP3 track maker). I will inform you when I am ready to cut CDs and mail

it.
