ekatashcaxaShaa caaru toraNaadhiita vibhramaM .

anyataH paaNipaadho * jekhelato mR^iga baalataH..10..

Telugu:okavaipu shivuni chetiyandaaDutonna baalahariNam

yokka druShTi vilaasaanni nerchukune kannu galadi

imkokavaipu paarvati kanTisobagunu nerchukune leDi

kannu galadinni ayina.....

English:(May that divine form of Half-man and half -woman)

that has on one side an eye which is learning the

sportive nature of the looks of the young deer that

is in Sivaa's hands,**2 and on the other side a

beautifully/gracefully arched eye with playful looks

(stay in my heart )

* Could some one please tell me the exact meaning

here ?

** I didn't follow the telugu translation here. I felt

that it didn't bring the true meaning of tOraNaadheeta

vibhramam . So I looked for the individual meanings

for the words in the Sanskrit dictionary and tried to

give what ever I could come up with. I will appreciate

very much ,if one of the learned members could give

the correct meaning if I am off the mark either in

this instance or any where else .

With regards,

suprabha

namaste,

>- In the first line is its "ekataH cha axashha"? This would then >become

>ekataShchaaxaShaa.

i checked with the text it reads ekatashcaxa... only.may be somebody who has

the text in devanagiri can verify.

>- In the second line there is reference to both paaNi and paada, may >be the

>construction there is

>paaNipaadaabja khelato mR^iga baalataH.

here also the text reads the same as i posted earlier.

it reads "paanipaadhojekhelato" .here also i request somebody with sanskrit

text to verify this.
