Namsthe

may i join the interesting discussion on ikshudanda.

in essence every statement is thought provoking. i would

like to draw members attention to another context.

Bhavonoupanishad says "MANAIKSHU DHANUHU"

As indicated by mr sathish,it is enough if u take it

mentally. but one thing if u r able to control it

materially we can easily get into the manobhava.

our elders always lead us steadily slowly but firmly

nearer to her. when u start the upasana these restrictions

help us; in due course of practice and time that

attraction goes away just like riped fruit detaches

and falls on ground. a stage is also reached that

where all these vanishes except SHE (.inviting comments)

very much true.

initially it helps very much to take this injunction literally.

so that whenever we chance upon an ikShu danDa we will remember the

inner meaning along with literal.

Also i pointed that there seems to be difference in

Ramesh's and Ravi's view. But now i feel that they are not

contradictory. comments welcome

satish.
