Guest guest
Dear Sanjay Bala and Lalitha are the same in spirit though we find ref to both in lalithopakyana. In L Sahasranama we find bandaputravadhodyktha bala vikrama nandita ,which is the story part in lalithopakhyaba. she id there for only one chapter after killing all the thirty bandaputras with narayanastra she returns, aftermath where has she gone to ? one wonders there is neither ref bef. this nor after. she is described as the prana vayu(breath) of lalitha which is moving outside her body she is attended by both mantrini and dandini as equal to lalitha herself. in the mantra form she is the condensed srividya with a bija for a kuta ie vagbeeja for vagbhava kuta kamaraja beeja for kamaraja kuta and sakthi bija for sakti kuta. in the deksha vidi it is said that one should be initiated into bala mantra after guru paduka and after that the ishta mantra ie pancadasi or sodasi can be imparted. such is her glory!! the Eighteen siddas of the south have done wonders with her mantra uapasana, she is glorified in their verses " there is no greater food than milk(pal in tamil) and there is no greater deity than bala. they even didnot pronounce it cleary , only with a slang :"Aiyyeum keleeum sauum" she did wonders for them Love Urs in lalitha K Ramesh sanjay menon <sannonp41 <> Friday, August 17, 2001 7:42 PM bala >dear members, namaskarams. what is the relation between bala &lalita. r they >one and the same?love, sanjay > >_______________ >Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp > > >AUM shrImAtre namaH >AUM namaH shivAya >AUM namaH shivAbhyAm > >Archives : http://www.ambaa.org/ (Edited) > : /messages// > >Contact : help > >Your use of is subject to > > >
Guest guest
namasthe the picture is not balatripurasundari - "M GOPINATH" <maa.gopinath "amba" <> Wednesday, April 17, 2002 12:05 PM Bala Dear all 1. Can any one confirm if the image enclosed is that of Balatripurasundari. The site from which it was taken is http://www.ambaa.org/image_gallery.htm Though this site says so, the items that are found in the Goddess's hands donot tally with those that Bala mantra mentions. Pl clarify. 2. There is one view that Goddess Kanyakumari in the city of the same name is actually Bala. Can anyone confirm this please. (The name seems to suggest so.)
