If > I am not mistaken, nominative of jagatIkhyAtA is jagatIkhyAtre, is that > correct? khyAtA is actually akArAnta, so the nominative singular and the root word is khyAtA. I have split the word into two as jagatI and khyAtA. The nama is 'jagatI' and the literal meaning of the word khyAtA is 'is widely known'. "the fifth nama is known as 'jagatI'". That is how I thought it could be split. If it had been one word then it should have been 'jagatikhyAtA', i.e. hrasva i instead of dIrgha I. HTH Aarathi.
