There are four sthuthi's that Brahma, the Devas, etc., make towards the Devi, in the Devi Maahaahmyam. These are very powerful mantras by themselves. Otherwise, the Durga Saptha Sloki would be even shorter. They are said to be charged with the mantik power of the whole Sapthasathi in a compact and concentrated form. The RamaKrishna Mission of Chennai have published a Romanised version of the whole of the Devi Maahaathmyam. BrahmaSri Subrahmanya Aiyer @ Anna, has written an English translation. These translated portions can be compiled and used. This book is obtainable from the Mission which is opposite the Kapaliiswaram Temple of Mylapore, Chennai.
