Lalitha and Deities

Dear All

 

I seek a clarification. We have noticed that some forms of the Goddess like

Lalitha, Bhuvaneswari sit with their right foot folded and kept on the peetam,

their left foot resting on the ground. Goddesses like Varahi, Ugra Prathyangara

sit with their left foot folded and kept on the peetam, right foot resting on

the ground. Why is this so ? Incidentally, or coincidentally, the first group of

deities are all calm and poised, while the second category is aggressive and

combative. Please explain.
