Meaning:

The friends:

Whenever we talk day and night you used to say, "Our

bond is with the Supreme Luminance." Oh slim beautiful

girl!, but did you keep all your liking to this floral

soft bed ?!

The girl on the bed:

Oh slim beautiful girls!, How can you talk (mock)

like this ?

The friends:

Is it the place to play mocking each others ? Who are

we ? The Luminous, the One in the world of shivam, the

Lord of small abode at thillai, who blesses us giving

His Floral Feet, for praising

which even the celestial elements (viNNOrkaL) are

scared of their qualification, to that Lord we are

lovers.

chiRRambalam is not chiRu ambalam but "chit" ambalam. Where the chit

is the supreme consciousness. I think the translation "small abode"

may not truly reflect its meaning. It should be "abode of supreme

consciousness" at thillai. Probably this is connected to its

name "chit - ambaram" the space of supreme consciouness.

My 2c. Please do correct me.

Probably we should take up a detailed discussion of the very

important word "thiruchiRRambalam" including the etymological point

of view.

I accept that I am wrong in saying "chiru ambalam" is not correct. I

certainly appreciate the idea of daharaakasham pointed out by Rajani.

In fact, that idea came to me after I posted that mail yesterday.

However, the import that "it is the abode supreme consciousness"

should be correct, whether it is dahara or maha aakaasha.

More thoughts and comments are welcome.
