Guest guest
AUM chintaamaNigR^ihaantasthaayai namaH Salutations to HER who resides in the mansion made of chintamaaNi chintaamaaNi is a special kind of jewel which has the power to bestow what is desired. SHE resides in the mansion which is fashioned out of this jewel. Detailed desription of this is given in brahmaaNDa puraaNa, and also referred to in texts like rudrayaamaLa, lalitaa stava ratna and gauDapaada suutra-s. It makes one wonder whether it is by association with HER even an inanimate jewel can bestow all that is desired. chintamaNi can also mean the faculty of thinking and cognizance. That is the mind, which is able to think by the power borrowed from HER who is the indwelling principle of all beings. That is why it is said that SHE resides in the house of chintaamaNi. ===== ambaaL daasan Ravi sharaNAgata raxakI nivEyani sadA ninnu nammiti mInAxI http://www.ambaa.org/ http://www.advaita-vedanta.org Send FREE video emails in Mail! http://promo./videomail/

Probably one could read that the giving is not direct. But a mantra appropriate for the desired wish is given. Then it is for the saadhaka to meditate on the mantra and attain his wish. More accurate renderings are welcome. Ravi
