Guest guest
AUM pa~nchabrahmaasanasthitaayai namaH Salutations to who is established on the seat made of five brahma-s. Traditional meaning is HER seat is made of brahma, vishhNu, rudra, ishaana and sada shiva. From saubhaagya bhaaskara - "the bed itself is shiva and the pillow is ishaana -- the four supports of the asana is brahma, vishnu, rudra, and ishaana; and the mat is sadaashiva." -- The meaning that came to me after thinking about this name is: Salutation to HER whose cosmic form is established by the acts of by the five brahma-s: That is brahma, vishhNu, rudra, iishvara and sadashiva. They are not different from HER. This you can see in names from srishhTi kartrii - anugrahada. The five acts that establish the cosmos and respective Lords are: 1) srishhTi kartrii - brahma ruupaa 2) goptrii - govinda ruupiNii 3) samhaariNii - rudra ruupaa 4) tirodhaanakarii -- iishavarii 5) anugrahadaa - sadaashivaa Please correct/comment.
