Vishnu and Shakthi both come from Shiv and therefore he is the Ultimate.

Vishnu and shakthi are but jsut drops from an infinte ocean who is known as

tat, brahmin and shiv. Rudra is mistaken for shiva in the trinity the

destructive is rudra not shiva.

rudra is the closest aspect to shiv and is another epithet.Shiv's praise is

known as the rudrastatyayi and therefore there isnt much difference it's

jsut that rudra is of a destructive nature.

Shiv is definetly the Ultimate and in my opinion he alone should be

worshipped since it was krishna in the Gita who said do not take another

come to me directly.

Namasthe.

As the question is not quite clear, the guidance may look different than

expected by the devotee, but thought of posting for whatever purpose it may

serve.

Is the question related to only Navavarana puja or for everything mentioned

like Japa, Nitya puja etc . If so, I see no reason that the guru should be

physically present ( alive ) for doing Japa and Nitya puja.

If the question is only for doing Navavarana Puja - NP and If you have been

doing NP independently, what difference does it make, if the Guru is in physical

or Shukshma rupa. Pl continue to do it on the Pancha Parvas.

If otherwise, you have been doing N.P only as a participant of your Guru's

Navavarana Puja ( restricted to doing only Bindu Tarpanam ) and you are

desirous of commencing the N puja again , the best thing to do, is to contact

the Senior Sishyas of your Guru who are doing it for an appropriate guidance .

If none is known to you as aforesaid, you can still contact the Guru's family

and find out your Guru's Sri Vidya contacts who were in the same paddathi , for

taking guidance from them.

The last alternative is to search for Upasakas belonging to your guru's paddathi

and learn from them. But I wouldn't strictly advise you on the last option and

it is better to increase your Japa and dhyanam instead of doing NP in such a

manner.
