Guest guest
".... It is better to adhere to grihyagni/aupasana in the present day than agnihotra..." I want to know the difference between agnihotra and aupasana. How practical is aupasana in the present day circumstances for a office goer. Can you describe the procedure of aupasana in short. I would like to know if there are any books available in the market for this similar to sandyavandanam book of Ramakrishna mutt Anna. In Agnihotram, do the 4 ritwiks for the krishna/shukla paksha ishtis need to be the ones who recite Sama veda ? I thought only Srowthigals are the ones who know sroutham. Pls clarify. I have heard in Brahmasri Sundar Kumar's upanyasam about the greatness of agni worship. He says Agni means the one who takes you forward and also points out to the sentence in Suryanamaskaram "Agne naya supatha......". He also says that starting the agni worship is like awakening a sleeping tiger and it should not be discontinued. I have recently started doing samitadhaanam both times. Hence I am looking for the most practical procedure that I could take up after becoming a grihasta as agni worship is one of the nityakarma.
