Guest guest
Hum if pronounced as hoom means cut the ego. This also envokes the tantric (if used in tantric mantra) mantra's discipline, if a mantra has this syllable you'd be sure that it also has a discipline that goes with it like a certain amount of recitation. Can also be related to the viniyogah. phat means without a doubt. Affirmation of the mantra recited. SOLD.com.au- Find yourself a bargain! The Siddhas haved termed certain mantrik syllables as the 'kOdi Mantras'. There are seven of them . 'savaaha', 'hum', 'hum phat', etc., belong to that category. 'hum phat' is the kOdi which is used to dispell evil forces and energies. It says that these things have to be learned from a Master directly. For your reference, there is a verse praising Murugan: tharaNi thanil aaRupaththaRu kOti thiirththam un saravaNaththul adakkam saaRRum oru elzhu kOdi mandhiranggaL undhan sataatcharaththuL adakkam piRavidhanil muppaththu mukkOdi dhEvar un viitchaNaththuL adakkam dEavaadhi dEvaalayangaL un aaRupadai viittinukkuL adakkam Regards JayBee ======================
Guest guest
I am not sure of dravidian mysticism nor religious texts but according to sanskrit Hum means cut ego. Again what you are saying is the truth ego is a form of evil but this is the specific target. This mantra works well with bijas, you will need a seed with which to use this I suggest a mantra that already has this and is one of the most popular and powerful mantras to Mother Chamundi/Shakthi. It is known as the Great mantra of 10 syllabels inconjunction with the hum phat. OM AIM HRIM KLEEM CHAMNUNDAYA VICCHE HUM PHAT SWAHA which means Om the almighty formless expressed as thought, desire and action with the power to destroy too much and too little and Vicche the goddess who removes fear Cut the ego without a doubt to this or purify. I am not sure as to how swaha is used in this mantra but that is what the crude meaning of the mantra. I am sorry I cannot provide a more accurate one since I am currently a bit too lazy.
