Guest guest
Namaste, One can perform aupasana as per his Gruhya Suthram on a regular basis only after having the Agni siddhi. The Agni Siddhi is acquired by performing Stahlipakam (minimum 2 0r 3). Agni identifies a ahuthi giver only if he has the Agni Siddhi. It is one way a visa to the Agni's Domain. Even after acquiring agni siddhi, if one discontinues aupasanam he is permitted to perform vichinnagni sandhanam, but without initital agni sandhanam the question of performing vichinnagni sandhanam does not arise. once we utter the uddeshathyagam ie., indraya idam na mama etc., it is the duty of the agni to hand over the ahuthi to concerned devata. Until or unless one obtains the Agni Siddhi any havan performed in the agni is nothing but a letter posted without address. As per Shastras such Ahuthi's are taken away by the Rakshasas. This applies equally to both vidhika homam and tantrica homam. Only difference being in Vaidika homam the Ahuthis are routed through the agni, whereas in tantric homams the concerned devata is propitiated in the Agni to accept the ahuthi and all ahuthis are directly given to the concerned devata. ramakrishnan
