Guest guest
Verse 20 of saundaryalaharii presents a beautiful healing technique. In this application, one imagines ambaaL in the heart as if she is made of chandrakaanta stone (which is snow white in color) and dripping with amRta. The rays emanating from HER, which are saturated with this amRta immerses all parts of the body with this amRta. When one meditates on ambaaL like this, that sadhaka by his/her mere look can heal diseases like fever. He is compared to the paxi raajan, garuda who controls the pride/arrogance of snakes. Verse 20: kirantiim aN^gebhyaH kiraNa nikurambaamR^ita rasaM hR^idi tvaam aadhatte himakara shilaa muurtimiva yaH | sa sarpaaNaaM darpaM shamayati shakuntaadhipa iva jvarapR^iShTaan dR^iShTyaa sukhayati sudhaasaarasirayaa || This is verse if used formally after diixa from a guru is called gaaruDa prayogam. One can, however, always imagine and do it in maanasika way without yantra etc. Considering that the world is filled with all kinds diseases affecting the physical, mental, and spiritual realms. A constant contemplation of the meaning of this mantra will make ambaaL devotees, centres of healing -- to bestow welfare to the world. lokaaH samasthaaH sukhino bhavantu Ravi ===== ambaaL daasan Ravi sharaNAgata raxakI nivEyani sadA ninnu nammiti mInAxI http://www.ambaa.org/ http://www.advaita-vedanta.org - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup http://fifaworldcup. Guest guest
Jaya Jaya shankara ! Very True. One may also remember the Ayushkara Prayoga and the Vagbhava kuta prayogas mantioned in the kalpasutras, reputed to be powerful enough to cure the worst of the diseases.
