Guest guest
There is a deeper meaning of terms samayAchara and kaulAchara. Former is inner worship (antarmukha) and latter is external worship (or bahirmukha). Former is oriented towards jnAna and involves realizing the identity with brahman and it is rooted in abheda bhaavam. External worship is *only* preparatory in nature and it will not directly lead to liberation. This classification is not digital as there is a mixed path called mishra. This serves as a transition from kaula to samaya. Hence, the change happens gradually -- sometimes over a period many births. An appropriate path and method is bestowed to a sadhaka by his/her guru based on the adhikAri laxaNam (or qualifications of the disciple) and it is not primarily based on varNa (even though varNa may play a role is selecting the specific method). My 2c. Ravi (satish I changed the subject, as it no longer reflects the verse of saundaryalaharii in the original post)

The gradation being Kaulachara Yogachara Vamachara Dakshinachara Shaivachara Vaishnavachara Vedachara I have also read: Kaula yogi is one who has truely realized the meaning of "part is in fact the whole". An equally relevant question is, in Shiva Sutras, does the sadhana proceed from, Shambhavopaya -> Shaktopaya -> Anvopaya ? or the other way round ? Can list members shed some light on this. What does trika say on this ? Thanks Best regards Shrinivas Gadkari
