Guest guest
For the development of documents for ambaa.org I am looking for some software. We have been using ITRANS and LaTeX all these days + Itranslator. Unfortunately Itranslator is out of date in development. And development with LaTeX is slow and the quality of the PDF files are not good either (PS is OK). I can across of something which looks (apparently, as I have never tested it) really nice -- called "shree-lipi" costs around 5000 indian rupees. It has beautiful fonts and many good features. My question is, does anyone here has experience with this software. <http://www.modular-infotech.com/html/products.html> Our requirements are: for every religious text we need a) A raw ASCII text format b) Ability to create a good quality PDF file with embedded fonts (so that it will work on all platforms) c) Minimum we need support of i) devanaagari 2) Roman with standard transliteration marks 3) Tamil and 4) Telugu. I have a feeling shree-lipi should be good. But I need some second opinion. namaH shivaabhyam ===== ambaaL daasan Ravi sharaNAgata raxakI nivEyani sadA ninnu nammiti mInAxI http://www.ambaa.org/ http://www.advaita-vedanta.org Autos - Get free new car price quotes http://autos.
