I have a religious upbringing of Northen India, and so was never aware of

goddesses like Karu Mariamman nor of things like arulvaak.

 

I would like to know of the influence of dravidian culture and her approach to

Hinduism; festivals like typoosum and kartikeya deepam are unheard of from the

place my ancestors come from or Australia. It is just recently that I have

learnt a bit about these practises and would like to know more.
