Guest guest
------- paradise of Devi Bhaktas "Alexandra Kafka" <alexandra.kafka <webmaster Hello, I recently have read the description of Manidvipa and Sri Nagara of the Devi Bhagavata Purana. (As far as I know Manidvipa means "island of jewells" and Sri Nagara means "the city (nagara) of Devi (Sri)".) I have also read in the Purana that a Devi Bhakta comes to that place after his/her death, getting the possibility to worship Devi face-to-face. However, the great city of Devi as described in Devi Bhagavata Purana is designed as ideal surrounding for the Devi in her role as Rajarajesvari or Queen of kings, the Devi sitting majestically on her throne made of the great gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva; But where is there a place where the Devi Bhaktas who worshiped Devi as their mother can live together with her? I mean, in the tradition of the Vaishnavas there are places like Vaikuntha, Goloka, etc., where those who are Bhaktas of Vishnu or Krishna live face-to-face with the deity the worship (after their death). Is there no place for Devi Bhaktas where they can live together with her face-to-face, as their beloved mother, not as mere servants of the Queen of kings? Kind regards, Alexandra Kafka -- ambaaL daasan Ravi www.ambaa.org
