Contact Sringeri or kanchi maTha and ask for guidance.

www.sringeri.org

www.kamakoti.org

They are the most reliable traditional sources I can think of.

In tamil Valluvar says "epporuL yaar yaar vaay kEtpinum apporuL

meyporuL kaaNbathaRivu". Whatever you hear, from whom ever you hear,

you should always analyze, evaluate and seek its true meaning.

One way to find a teacher is to meditate on the verse "tvat

paadambujam archayaami" of shivAnandalaharI.

Hari Om !!

Holy persons will definitely be of help, if they are in a practice of

listening to common man's mundate worldly concerns, and answer them

to give peace of mind.

I read a very interesting anecdote:

Once someone asked Sri Malayala Swami, a great sage of Vyasasramam,

Erpedu, Chittoor Dist. Andhara pradesh, "Swami why are you doing

Tapas ? Is it for Lords darshan or Mukti etc...." Then Swami said, "

I am not doing Tapas for darshan of Lord Narayana. What will he tell

me more than what is told in Bhagavad Gita !! " (He said very

interesting things in continuation. But, I am stopping here).

So, when you think carefully, in his answer above the Swami has a

subtle answer. We will find solace and right direction in reading out

traditional scriptures with devotion and Sraddha (faith).

So, I would propose that you should read Bhagavad Gita, and/or Devi

Saptha Sati (Devi Gita) and offer regular prayers. Once you are

steady, when the time comes you will find the teacher coming to you.

Also, if you do not feel shy and are open minded to share your

concerns, you can post your questions to this list or advaita-

vedanta.org or Advaitin lists, and you should get answers from

people who would have gone through your similar situation.

Om Namo Narayanaya !!

---Lots of thanks for responding to my query. Thanks for every body.

I have a doubt what is Devi Bhagavatham? Is it one of the puranams

like mahabhagavatham ...also what is Devi Geetha ? I have seen these

books in bookstalls in chottanikkara. Please throw some light.
