Guest guest
Dear members, True, God or Goddess is Nirguna. But when Nirguna transforms into Saguna, each God or Goddess does manifest with some Guna predominant. Thus Lakshmi is considered to be 'Satvik', so She is paired with Vishnu and so on. An analogy comes to mind. Pure white light contains all colors and so appears colorless! But most of the light emitted or reflected has some color! Similarly Divine Mother as Bhuvaneshwari or Lalitha may be considered to be a manifestation of all the Three Deities Sri Maha Lakshmi, Sri Maha Kali and Sri Maha Saraswati. We, devotees also are of different temperaments, that is we have one guna predominantly but we also have other Gunas. So we get attracted to one form of the Deity, so one may get attracted to Kali, another to Saraswati another to Lakshmi or the same person may get drawn to different Deities at different stages of Sadhana! Normally Sagunopasana or Worship of Saguna Devatas is carried out by devotees who want some specific desires to be fulfilled. One who has no desire or wants to be free from Desire and is intellectually oriented may go for Nirgunopasana, i.e. worship of Nirguna form of God/Goddess. One can worship Saguna form of Goddess for Moksha also! I request other members to share their perceptions. Guest guest
I am the least of the members of this group and normally do not comment. But in your question I see the Meru Sri Chakra with the Bindu being perhaps the Closest to 'Nirguna' and the other triangles, lotus and squares as being increasingly toward the gunas. The goal is to merge into the Bindu. She is at our center, we strive for Her Heart.
