Guest guest
devi rahasyam rudrayamala pashchima and uttar khanda deviyamala devi gita these are the books that r usually used to envoke the all powerful maha vijaya lakshmi durga during the navaratri, although I prefer the worship of pratyangira, yakshini, kali, tara and the great and benevolant mother asuri durga. It is an ideal time to do kanya puja, the highlight of any durga puja should be the saptashati patha, with kanya puja and the maha kamada chandi homa. For this very reason I am going overseas to Fiji since a yagnya shala as big as the one required is illegal in Australia (fire ban), it is best done in a free and open place. I have noticed that a puja like this whatever you ask from the mother you shall get. The devi gita states a fire sacrifice should be done and vrata, the rudrayamala states brahmins, women of all creeds and walks of society be worshipped and fed, kanya puja (girls between 2 and 10) to be worshipped. The pashchima khanda speaks of bali, ether pumkin or a few dozen coconuts should be offered. There are some other tantras that say the offering of thousand bilva leaves, 1000 kadamba flowers please mother the most. The mantra to be just should be the mantraraja vidya of the diety, or if you are not into the tantric arts the simple and extremely powerful navakshari mantra should be used "om aim hrim kleem chamundaya vicche" if you are doing homa then should add phat swaha. The utkilana mantra I am forbidden to share, but most devi upasakas should know of this. Again it all depends on your budget, u can offer a small red flower to her with great devoution and u will get her unconditional love. Japa and saptashati patham is very important. If u want I can give u the vidya of asuri durga, her worship comprises of a thousand ahoutis of seseame and ghee and ten thousand times japa of her mantra. If you do this you will realise her mantra and automatically get diksha siddhi from the devi. The good thing is that the utkilana mantra is not needed unless you are doing marana siddhi.
