Guest guest
Ramesh: Your commentary and summary is beaurful and to the point and I thank you very much for the same. I am eaagerly waitng for the next. It takes my memeory back by 40 years when I was studying Harsha's Ratnavali. When Ratnavali was separted from her lover and yearning for his presence (due to Iravathi) Harsha puts it nicely sby aying that even a tender lotus filament does not find a space between her bosom due to her anxiety. The mockery of tenderness of Shivas feet and that of the mountain rock reminds me of the saying (Aho Chitta nrusamsa-Oh cruel heart) Viswanathan ambaal2001 wrote:Dear Shri Ramesh, That was absolutely delightful. Thank you very much. Your effort is a great help to people like me with little or no knowledge of tamizh, who cannot enjoy MahaPeriyaval's original commentary. My sincere thanks to you again. Guest guest
Dear Shri Viswanathan, I am happy that you are enjoying these postings. However, I would like to point out that these are not my commentary. These noble and soul-stirring thoughts are excerpted from 'saundaryalaharI: An exposition by pUjyashrI candrashekharendra sarasvatI svAmI, 68th sha~NkarAcArya of kA~nci kAmakoTi pITha', compiled and edited by rA. GaNapati and translated into English by R.G.K., Revised by BrahmashrI A. KuppusvAmI; Published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 2001. My contribution is merely to transcribe these priceless gems for the benefit of Her pious children and to offer my homage to the memory of our revered paramAcArya.
