Guest guest
Dear all Todays "The Hindu" carried this report on a Kamakshi Temple in Panchamavadevi in Karur Dist Tamilnadu. ( Panchamadevi gets its name as there are 5 Ambal temples in the vicinity for Kali, Mariamman, Kamakshi, Angalamman and Sellandi Amman). This temple was built during the Muslim invasion on Kanchi when a few priests gathered together to build a temple for Kamkshi, while on part of the group split to build a temple for Bangaru Kamakshi the other group built this temple. Kamakshi is shown doing penance here. The other shrines in this temple, which is presently under going renovation, are for Kaathavaraayan, Masi periaswamy, Lada Thannasi and Madurai Veeran. With Prayers for Her Blessings on all of us Gopi. Everything you'll ever need on one web page from News and Sport to Email and Music Charts http://uk.my.
