When I had the same question concerning saying the bija and kilaka etc for a certain sahasranama I advised not to say them...because one has to have initiation into that mantra with has the bijaksharas in question, indicating that may be one can read those kavachas if they have the moola mantra of that particular Devata. But that is just a guess.
