A Siva Bhutha leader called ChithrasEnan gathered the ashes together and asked Siva to sprinkle some Amrita on the heap and raise up Manmatha again from that. Siva shook a few strands of His hair locks and let a few drops of Divine nectar fall on the ash heap. The ashes took the form of a person. But it was not Manmatha. It was a failed experiment for ChithrasEnan. The raised person went to Brahma. Brahma laughed at him and during the laughter, uttered the words, "bhandu, bhandu....." - meaning funny. And that became the person's name - Bhanda. This stroy is from LalithObagyanam. Regards JayBee =====================>
