> Who is currently the oldest guru in sri vidya?

- In our dharma, physical age of teacher is not an issue. A person's

greatness is determined based on his/her qualities and qualifications. Take

examples such as shankara and jnAna sambhanda. Guru can be young and his/her

disciples can be old.

- Physical age of body, does not reflect the journey the jiiva has gone

through and learnt in many previous incarnations.

This is one of the reasons, one should not go by age/race/gender/social

status/fame etc. Even in this list there are people, who are quite young by

the age of their body in this incarnation, but much advanced in terms are

sAdhana and jnAna.

(However, it is the duty of young to be polite and respectful to the elderly

and vice versa it is the duty of the elderly to reflect the attitude that

respect is not based on physical age of a body.)

Other way of looking at your question is:

Oldest guru of Sri Vidya tradition at all times and all places, is

shriimaata HERSELF. That is why shankara says "shriinaathaadi guru svaruupa

vibhave". Hence, no matter what the age is, one should look at his/her guru

as God HERSELF.
