Dear Devi Devotees,

Namaskars.

In the Sthoola rupa Lalitha Para Bhattarika has in her right hand five types of

arrows made of flowers. These flowers are:

Name Of the Flower What Character it represents

Lotus Flower Harshanam – To Please

Neelothpalam Rochanam – To make it

Palatable

Sevvalli Mohanam -- To Charm

Sevvamabal Soshanam -- To Dry or

Evaporate

Flower of Mango Tree Maaranam – To Erase

Pl excuse if I am not able to translate or express the exact equivalents in

English name of some of the flowers or the characters.

The five arrows have three forms and they are:

1. Stoolam --- flowers in physical form

2. Suukshmam --- represents Mantras

3. Vaasana --- The PARA Rupa

The adhistana Devata for these Arrows is Vaarahi OR Dhandanatha.

The five arrows represents the five thanmatra or the five characters or the five

elements which are Akasham (ether) thanmatra being Sound,Vaayu (air)thanmatra

being Sparasham or feeling of touch,Agni(fire) thanmatra being colour or

form,Varuna (water) thanmatra being taste or rasam and Prithvi (earth) thanmatra

being taste or ghandam. (Symbolically we also have also as five fingers.) All

these five elements exists independent of each other but for an ordinary mortal

seems to be ever in combination. Truly we cannot understand and appreciate the

individuality of each one being independent of other. Before the universe was

revealed from moolaprakruthi it was in a inconceivable status, that is neither

Static Nor Dynamic.Only through the sound akasha was created, through sparsha

vayoo and so on.In that status it is known as thanmatra.

For a Devi Devotee if the five sense organs are controlled he/she would benefit

positively otherwise the person would experience Shopanam and Unmathanam.

The Adishtana devata for the pushpa Bhanas or flower arrows is Dandanatha

(supreme commander of Devi’s forces) and for the bow made of sugarcane the

devatha is Manthrini (Buddhi Shakti). This means that any force has to be used

with intelligence. (How relevant is this in the modern Era)

This particular nama also secretively inscribes the AYUTHA MANTRA and pl

learn this through your Pujya GURU.

Regards
