Meaning:

Having our Lord as the friend, taking His service to

go on mission to the lady who reaches to his

shoulders, that lord our beloved ArUrar who is the

peerless companion of cEramAn perumAL, was given by

him making the world live/prosper.

 

Notes:

1. This is the praise of caDaiya n^AyanAr from periyar

purANam.

2. There is not much description of caDaiayanAr and

mAdhiniyAr in periya purANam. How do we see their

greatness ? Their greatness very much is exposed by

their lovely son, whom we reverently and

affectionately call n^ambi (our beloved) ArUrar.

thirukkuRal says, "Properness of people would be

determined by what they leave behind." This great

parents left behind a son, for all of us to thank.

When the characteristics of the child is influenced by

the nature of the parents, should we thank this couple

for giving us cun^dharar ?!
