Guest guest
dear Mr. John i am very happy to know your keen desire to do the abhisekam to Devi Raja Rajeshwari and i should think that you are extremely lucky to get this thought by the will of the Divine Mother. The Mother can be worshiped by people irrespective of caste, colour, creed or race.HER consciousness dwells evrywhere and in every being both living and non living as well and there is nothing in this universe other than HER. To summarise i am giving you an example from a book containg more than 53 rare slokas (highly potyent prayers from scriptures to mother ) on SAKTAM published by Sastha Publications -- Madras which has been dedicated to a FRENCH MOTHER. Let us find out who is that. News item from "THE HINDU" -- India's leading daily. A MOTHER"S INTERMINABLE PATIENCE LONL-LE-SAUNIER (France) April 24, 1978 A woman who has spent the past 22 years taking care of the camotose son was decorated here on Sunday with the French National Order of Merit. Mrs. Marie Balay, whose 42 year old son,Paul, went into coma after being hit by a car after a village dance when he was reaffirmed her opposition to euthanasia and her conviction that her son will one day regain consciousness. --AFP Mr. JOHN -- This is really the MOTHER"S WORSHIP AND THE SANATANA DHARMA AND NOT WHAT YOU KNOW IT . When someone has managed to evade gross materialism, promiscuity, (widely prevalent in the west) and has come to Devi's feet, no one should send him away say this is against age-old tradition..blah,bhah. The caste system has no relevance today-it is a great evil that has kept out the majority of people out of the joys of a religious life(this is not just my opinion, a lot of modern day saints say this). Somebody pointed out the sloka from the BG, saying one should not follow anothers dharma- this is absolutely in the wrong context- how many brahmins today follow the dharma of a brahmin. In the old days when brahmins lived a life of utter piety, they had to beg for alms to make a living because wealth was considered an anathema for people who turn Godward....; today there are few real brahmins, most of those who claim are in essence sudras. Another pointed out that great saints who were Sudras; does not anyone know of Bhishma's injunction to Yudhistra in the Santiparva of the Mahabharata that character alone constitutes brahminhood, birth is immaterial. So John, I do not see any reason whatsoever as to why you cannot do abhisekam since you appear to be a brahmin in the truest sense of the word.
