Guest guest
(Thursday is the gurupUjai of iraypagai n^AyanAr. A glimpse of his life could be viewed at http://www.shaivam.org/naiyarpa.html ) thiruththoNDar purANam panniraNDAm thirumuRai thiruchchiRRambalam cheyvadhaRku ariya ceykai ceydha n^aRRoNdar pOka maithikaz kaNDan eNTOL maRaiyavan makizn^dhu n^Okkip poytharum uLLam illAn pArkkilan pOnAn enRu meytharu chin^dhaiyArai mILavum azaikkaluRRAn thiruchchiRRambalam Meaning: As the good servant, who did the thing difficult for anybody to do, left, the dye-adorned-throat, eight shouldered Lord of vedas saw pleased that the one (iraypagaiyAr) without any deception in mind is not even looking back and proceeded away ! He called out the person of truthful heart to come back. Notes: 1. iyarpagaiyAr did the thing, leave alone doability, even unimaginable, as the devotee of God asked for it. He sent his wife along with the devotee, Who was none other than the Lord Himself, crossing over the resistance of all the kith and kin. After leaving them in the place that would be safe, he didn't even look back, but returned leaving them off. God did not came to take away his wife, but to show the determination of that devotee. He called out to iyarpagaiyAr as if He is in trouble again by his relatives. But when the devotee turned back to protect Him (!), the Lord appeared on the bull, blessing the great devotee. ===== --------------------------- Visit Shaivism Home Page at http://www.shaivam.org --------------------------- Mail Plus - Powerful.
